Neurodiverse Couples Counseling

Support for couples navigating autism or ADHD — with compassion, clarity, and structure.

A dirt road in the middle of a forest

When communication feels impossible

• The same arguments keep repeating

• One partner feels unheard, the other overwhelmed

• Shutdowns, misunderstandings, or emotional distance are common

• You love each other — but feel disconnected

This isn’t a failure. It’s a communication mismatch — and it can be repaired.

Neurodiversity‑affirming counseling

We specialize in working with couples where one or both partners are autistic or ADHD. Our approach is structured, compassionate, and designed to reduce overwhelm — not add to it.

What couples gain

• Clearer, calmer communication

• Less emotional escalation

• Stronger understanding of each other’s needs

• A renewed sense of teamwork

Is your relationship neurodiverse?

Many couples don’t realize they are navigating a neurodivergent relationship dynamic. Understanding whether autism, ADHD, or other differences in wiring are present can be a powerful first step toward clarity, compassion, and meaningful change.

Support for neurotypical partners

Neurotypical partners in long‑term neurodiverse relationships often experience profound emotional exhaustion, loneliness, and self‑doubt. Some describe this as a form of relational trauma, sometimes referred to as Cassandra Affective Deprivation.

Being repeatedly unheard or invalidated can lead to anxiety, depression, and a loss of connection with yourself. This experience is real — and it deserves compassionate, informed support.

How we work together

Life Transition Support Coaching

My approach begins with listening. Each partner’s emotional truth is acknowledged without judgment. From there, we slow down the interaction cycle, reduce escalation, and rebuild communication in a way that feels safe for both nervous systems.
